The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning has reviewed long-term options for Goulburn to Murray operating and trade rules. We are seeking community feedback on the recommended long-term option with submissions now due by 9 May 2021.

You can make a submission or provide your feedback through a short survey on the regulatory impact statement (RIS) consultation paper and Lower Broken Creek options on the Engage Victoria website at https://engage.vic.gov.au/goulburn-murray-trade-rule-review.

Your feedback will help inform a government decision on long-term options and transition arrangements, which are proposed to come into effect from 1 July 2021.

For those who have attended our public webinars or online drop-in Q&A sessions, we thank you for your participation. For recordings of these sessions and further information on the Goulburn to Murray trade review and steps taken to date, visit https://waterregister.vic.gov.au/water-trading/trading-rules/goulburn-to-murray-trade-review.

Any proposed changes will be announced prior to 1 July 2021, along with a report summarising what we heard through public consultation. To register for updates on the Goulburn to Murray trade review, email water.markets@delwp.vic.gov.au.
