Facts sheets are now available on some of the key information in the updated Water Market Trends report, which was recently published.

These five fact sheets provide simple and accessible information on how entitlements are owned and water is being used in northern Victoria, the key factors influencing the price of water allocation on the market, how irrigators are sourcing their water, and carryover and how entitlement holders are using it.

The complete updated Water Market Trends report is available below.

Through reports and fact sheets like these, and by continuing to improve the information available on the Victorian Water Register website, the Victorian government is committed to providing water users with clear, accurate information to help them make informed decisions in the water market.

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning will be discussing this information at a number of forums with water users during March and April including water corporation customer committees and other industry forums.

Further reports on water trading, including the Victorian Water Trading Annual Report are also available here, and up to date market data on the volume and price of water allocation trade is available here.
